Mailbox or sending setup is still preparing

Distinguish DNS waiting from a provisioning operation that needs attention.

Identify the pending stage

Open mailbox or domain details and read the state. Incomplete records require DNS checks; Preparing after records pass can mean waiting for mail-service provisioning. Do not alter correct DNS just because a mailbox is not ready.

Safe next steps

  1. Refresh status once and check connectivity.
  2. For a failed operation with Retry, retry that operation rather than creating a duplicate mailbox.
  3. Check available storage and mailbox capacity.
  4. If the state does not change, record the start time, current state and operation ID if shown, then request investigation.
